150 take part in Russellville Halloween masquerade event

Grand prize winner Addison Everman dressed as a princess for Saturday's Russellville Halloween Social and the Reserve Grand Prize winner Levi McClure came as a Smurf.

RUSSELLVILLE -- The annual Russellville Halloween Social drew a large crowd to the Russellville Community Center Saturday with about 150 people participated in the masquerade contest.

Winners in the Best Animal Costume category were: Grace Ramsay, first; Jeff Simmons, second; Colson Everman, third; Jayda Lee, fourth; Cortney Goff, fifth; Savanna Boler, sixth; Kadence Toepp, seventh; Mariah Fikes, eighth.

Miscellaneous winners were: Dakota Smith, first; Taylor Tripp, second; Thomas Hunley, third; Austin Tripp, fourth; Kaden Brown, fifth; Stormy Bixler, sixth; Jaycee Farrin, seventh; T.C. Colon, eighth; Aryaena Bailey, ninth; Morgan Newman, 10th.

Most Original winners were: Kaden Wise, first; Brayden Hoeferle, second; Ayden, Aylor and Sadie Oliver, third; Brooklyn Day, fourth; Dagen Everman, fifth; Drexel Partin, sixth; Presley Coleman, seventh; Katie Jo Hodgen, eighth; Landyn Powell, ninth.

Best Character Winners were: Peyton Newgent, first; Kristin Goff, second; Kaden Newgent, third; Conner Newgent, fourth; Jasmine Hunley, fifth; Morgan Blume, sixth; Madelyn Collon, seventh; Khloe Oliver, eighth; Norma Benge, ninth; Sierra Rose, 10th.

Random House donated books for the occasion, while Donald Bannon made the big signs placed along the highways with Mike Simpson Crop Insurance sponsoring those signs.

Darrell Wiatt provided treat bags for all participants.

Chairmen for the event included Deanna Carrington for the kitchen and food, Debbie Bartelt for the games, Joan Everman who was in charge of country store, and Darrell Wiatt for the masquerade.
