A Touch of Winter

Wednesday, November 13, 2013
Even as the last of the autumn leaves hold tight against the wind, refusing to fall just yet, ice and snow blanket the ground and plants Tuesday morning. Residents awoke to slick sidewalks, windows to scrape and the impression that even Mother Nature cannot decide what season it is. By midday, the beautiful scenes of morning were melting away, as the bright sun climbed higher in the sky and temperatures crept their way above the freezing mark. Although temperatures remained in the 30s on Tuesday, no further snow is expected this week, with rain possible Friday and Saturday and temperatures possibly returning to the 60s during the weekend.
