Following three consecutive winning seasons, the Greencastle High School football program is in search of a new coach.

Coach Josh Buis is resigning the post, the Greencastle School Board learned at its Monday evening meeting, following an 8-2 record in 2013.

Buis was named the Tiger Cubs' head coach in December 2010, upon the resignation of former head coach Eric Davis.

The coach compiled a 26-6 record in his three seasons at the helm in Greencastle, including an undefeated regular season in 2012.

Prior to becoming head coach, he spent one year as the Tiger Cubs' defensive coordinator under Davis.

Buis graduated from South Putnam High School in 1997, where he played for Mark Wildman.

He then moved on to DePauw University, where he played for another local coaching legend in Nick Mourouzis. Buis graduated from DePauw in 2001.

Prior to returning to Putnam County, he coached football in different capacities at Grand Valley State University, Northwestern University and Eastern Michigan University.
