Clovers, Cougars to face off in Putnam County Classic championship game

Cloverdale (4-0) beat Greencastle in Saturday's game 1 and North Putnam (2-0) beat South Putnam in game two to advance to the championship game of the 2013 Boys' Basketball Putnam County Classic.

The two undefeated team will tipoff at around 8:15 p.m., 30 minutes after the consolation game.

Greeencastle (1-1) and South Putnam (1-2) tip at 6:30 p.m. Saturday.

The Clovers beat the Tiger Cubs 60-56 in a thrilling opener on Saturday, led by junior Marquise Moore's 27 and freshman Cooper Neese's 20 points.

The Cougars blitzed the Eagles from the start, jumping out to a 22-10 lead after the first quarter and won 65-48. NPHS had 16 assists on 18 total field goals.

The first round of the PCC was originally scheduled on Friday but played on Saturday morning because weather forced the opening round to be delayed.

The Putnam County Classic is hosted at Greencastle High School.
