Community Cantata Choir to present 'Let the Whole World Sing' this weekend

A community cantata choir representing several local churches will be giving two weekend performances of "Let the Whole World Sing" by Joel Raney.

The first performance is set for 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14 at Gobin Memorial United Methodist Church, 307 Simpson St. (corner of Locust and Seminary streets), Greencastle.

The second performance is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 15 at the Greencastle Presbyterian Church on Round Barn Road on the city's East Side.

Length of the cantata is 45 minutes. Performances are free with no cost to the public.

Participating local churches are Clover-dale United Methodist Church, First Christian Church, Gobin Memorial United Methodist Church, Greencastle Presbyterian Church, New Providence Baptist Churc, and St. Paul The Apostle Catholic Church.

Director of music and accompanist is Cheryl Beck.

Choir Director is Anna Gatdula.

Narrators include: Brian Howard (Saturday) and Doug Harms (Sunday).

DePauw instrumentalists include Susan Miller (violin), David Gordon (trumpet), Nina Dugan (flute) and Andrew Bosomworth (percussion).
