Remember Mama

Thursday, December 19, 2013

A large turnout attending the December session of the Greater Greencastle Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours at Mama Nunz restaurant, 800 S. Main St., Tuesday evening gets a chance to visit with Jo Ruth Cancilla (right), "Mama Nunz" herself, as she greets visitors feasting on son Nunzio's pizza and breadstick creations. Mama and Greencastle Mayor Sue Murray (center) try to help Ruth Schroeder select a couple slices of pizza while local attorney Scott Bieniek (below) does pretty well on his own, loading up his plate with pizza during the event sponsored by Cindy and Ashley Mattox of University Lending Group. Getting ready to enter its 60th year of business in 2014, Mama Nunz is now serving breakfast from 5:30-11 a.m. daily.

  • I remember Nunzio from high school.

  • One of my favorite restaurants! I've been enjoying Mama Nunz's food for 30 of those 60 years. Congratulations to one of Greencastle's oldest family businesses!!
