Jo Ann McClure

Jo Ann McClure, 74, of Lakeland, Fla., lost her battle with cancer peacefully and surrounded by family on Sunday, Dec. 29, 2013.

She was born in Greencastle, Ind., on April 9, 1939 to Carlton and Grace Cunningham.

She graduated from Greencastle High School in May 1957 and was married to Albert E. McClure on Nov. 1, 1957.

Jo Ann was a loving wife, sister, mother, grandma and great-grandma. She enjoyed bowling, crafting and golfing. She fought many battles with cancer and was a source of inspiration for many.

She is survived by her spouse, Albert McClure; her four sisters, Sylvia and Ray Nichols of Lakeland, Fla., Carol and Stan Tague of Greencastle, Mary and Bob Stockwell of Roachdale, and Sue and Ron Higgins of Russellville; two sons, Mike and Linda McClure of Fishers, and Kenneth and Brenda McClure of Land O' Lakes, Fla.; her grandchildren Holly and Seth Bohannon, Whitney and Tim Gray, Amy McClure, and Andrew McClure; and one great-grandchild, Adleigh Bohannon.

She was predeceased by loving son Stephen McClure.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the American Cancer Society in her name at www.cancer.org.

A service will be conducted at North Lakeland Presbyterian Church at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 3.
