Kenneth H. Stevens

Kenneth H. Stevens, 77, of Greencastle, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2014 at Asbury Towers Retirement Community.

Kenneth was born on Oct. 24, 1936 in Clay County, the son of the late Keith and Dorothy (Jenkins) Stevens.

Mr. Stevens was retired from Lonestar Industries (Buzzi Unicem U.S.A.) after 43 years of service.

He was a member of The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses in Greencastle. Kenneth enjoyed the Bible ministry work, cutting wood and nature.

He was preceded in death by his brother Melvin L. Stevens and his sister Joann Twig.

Kenneth is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Wanda J. (Pierce) Stevens; children Kimberly D. (Jason) Henderson of Clayton, Michael K. (Jamie) Stevens of Greencastle and Eric (Tina) Lee of Filmore; and grandchildren Brevin M. and Gwyneth L. Stevens.

A graveside celebration of life will be held at noon on Friday, Jan. 10 at Forest Hill Cemetery with Minister William "Bill" Calhoun officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of Simple Cremations and Burials.
