Banner Graphic: When did you start swimming? Who introduced you to it?
Rosio Gomez: I started swimming when I was in first grade and my brother (Raul) introduced me to swimming when he was in high school.

BG: So you've been swimming since first grade? Why did you stick with it?
RG: I think I stuck with it because of the group of people and my coaches. Every coach that I've had was always really fun to be around.

BG: And you play soccer, too. Do you like swimming better or soccer better?
RG: I like swimming better. I like the atmosphere of swimming. I think it's more of a family than soccer.

BG: What about that family do you? What's so fun about your teammates?
RG: I think we're all really close with each other. It can be competitive at the same time, but at the end with relays it's really close-knit.

BG: What were your goals this year?
RG: My personal goal was to get seeded higher during conference than I was last or the year before in any event I was in, like the 200 freestyle and the 100 fly.

BG: What is your favorite event?
RG: My favorite event is the 100 fly. I've always liked it and I felt like I could do it better than any other event.

BG: What are your plans after high school?
RG: My plans are to go to college, maybe Ball State, for graphic design. Or to play soccer.
