County Jail

Two people were recently booked into the Putnam County Jail.

* At 9:45 a.m. on Thursday, Joshua Michael Booe, 30, Shelburn, was charged with nonsupport of a dependent and a probation violation.

* At 2 p.m. on Thursday, Joseph Craig Peerson, 32, Indianapolis, was arrested for contempt of court.

Sheriff's Dept.

* At 1 a.m. Monday, John R. Dresbach, 43, Greencastle, was traveling on U.S. 36 East near County Road 100 East when his 2013 Kia Sorento hit a snow drift and began to slide.

Dresbach informed Deputy Adam Hull that he was unable to keep from going off the road on the right side, which made him slide down a small hill and caused the vehicle to roll onto its side.

No injuries were reported.

Damage was estimated at $2,501-$5,000.

* At 2:27 p.m. Tuesday, Tammy D. Wilson, 39, Greencastle, was southbound on U.S. 231, just north of U.S. 36.

Wilson advised Deputy Ronnie Campbell that her 2002 Dodge Caravan was run off the road and into a ditch by a tractor-trailer that was on the wrong side of the road.

Wilson hit a snow pile in the ditch, causing the vehicle to turn sideways and then roll over, coming to a rest on the driver's side.

Damage was estimated at $2,501-$5,000

* At 8:45 p.m. Thursday, Traci L. Dobson, 42, Cloverdale, was traveling north on U.S. 231 behind Samantha K. Dodd, 42, Cloverdale.

Dobson informed Deputy Hull that as she passed the intersection of U.S. 40, she looked away from the road momentarily, and as she looked back toward the road, Dodd had stopped and was turning left into a gas station.

Dobson attempted to turn her 2013 Ford FE to the right to avoid hitting Dodd's 2005 Chevrolet Malibu LS, but was unable and struck the right rear of the vehicle.

No injuries were reported.

Damage was estimated at $2,501-$5,000.

At 9:31 p.m. Thursday, Tabitha J. Littlejohn, 23, Bainbridge, lost control of her 2000 Chevrolet Tahoe on the icy roadway.

Littlejohn informed Hull that she lost control in a curve and was unable to regain control, which resulted in her vehicle leaving the roadway on the left side, heading south.

No injuries were reported.

Damage was estimated at $1,001-$2,500.

City Police

One recent traffic citation was written by Greencastle City Police officers.

-- At 9:17 p.m. Thursday, Andrea Hut-cheson, 24, Cloverdale, was ticketed by Officer Nick Eastham for 56 mph in 30-mph zone on Bloomington Street, south of Martinsville Street.
