William D. Mundy

William D. Mundy, 82, Greencastle, passed away on Jan. 21, 2014 at Putnam County Hospital at Greencastle.

He was born on April 22, 1931 in Putnam County and was the son of the late Ellis Lee and Dorothy Pauline (Brooks) Mundy.

He married Shirly June (Keeler) Mundy on June 10, 1950, and she preceded him in death on Aug. 8, 2013.

He is survived by his daughter, Vanonna Marie Shillings and husband Dennis, Greencastle; his grandsons, Donald Leon Shillings and Dennis Jeffrey Shillings; his great-granddaughter, Eleanor Marie Shillings; his sisters-in-law, Linda Myers and husband Ronald, Greenfield, Sue Keeler, Cincinnati, and Kay Fisher, Marietta, Ga.: his brother-in-law, Clyde E. Keeler Jr. and wife Nancy, Lanesville, and several nieces and nephews.

A 1949 graduate of Cloverdale High School, he was a retired assembler for Allison's at Indianapolis.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in by his brother, Paul Mundy.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1 at Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale. Visitation will be on Saturday from 11 a.m. until service time.

Interment will be in the Cloverdale Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's favorite Humane Society.
