Kenneth 'Kenny' Eugene Pittsenbarger

Kenneth "Kenny" Eugene Pittsenbarger, 66, of Brazil, passed away at Union Hospital, Friday, Jan. 31, 2014 following a lengthy battle with diabetes and heart disease.

Kenny was born March 14, 1947 in Putnam County, the son of Elmer O. and Lois M. (Raffitt) Pittsenbarger.

He worked at All Tran in Terre Haute for several years as a mechanic and worked as a driver for Hassler Trucking. He retired at age 65 after 23 years of service.

Kenny married Judith Lynn Hinesley Nevins on Nov. 18, 1978.

Kenny loved working on his hot rods, racing and enjoying his grandchildren. Brazil residents as well as neighboring towns may remember the Christmas light display he worked so hard to provide for the enjoyment of others. He was also known for his delicious deep-fried turkeys.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, James "Sonny" Pittsenbarger.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Pittsenbarger; a brother, Wayne Pittsenbarger and wife June; three sons, Donnie Nevins, Jack Nevins and wife Sandra and Scott Nevins and wife Holly; nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Graveside services will be conducted at Roselawn Memorial Park at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5. Friends may join Kenny's family in procession to the cemetery at noon from Lawson-Miller Chapel, 1702 E. National Ave., Brazil.
