While it may still be winter, the Friends of the Greencastle Farmers Market are already organizing for the 2014 market season.

It may still a bit cold and snowy, but the Friends of the Greencastle Farmers' Market already have been thinking about and planning for the May opening of the 2014 market season.

New and returning vendors are invited to attend an organizational meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 6 in the Putnam County Public Library Kiwanis Room.

Vendor applications and market guidelines will be distributed and discussed along with applications for vegetable/fruit growers who wish to participate in the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) and Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP).

The Friends of the Farmers' Market can be reached at meetatthemarket@gmail.com for those who have any questions or would like to receive the Vendor Application and Market Guidelines electronically.

Anyone who has questions and doesn't have access to the Internet may call Paula Evans at 653-1255 for information.
