Carrico family appreciates outpouring of love

To the Editor:

The family of Pat Carrico wishes to express sincere thanks and appreciation to so many people who helped make our sudden loss more bearable.

Tears were replaced with smiles, and we had a lightness in our hearts from all that kindness that was shown.

Special thanks to Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home, Greencastle Fire Department, Hoosier Burn Camp, Putnam County Cancer Center, IU Cancer Center, Elks Lodge, Eagles Lodge, Eitel's Flowers, Putnam Inn, all county fire and emergency response departments, Greencastle Police Department and Putnam County Sheriff's Department.

To all who shared our grief through cards, calls, monetary values, food, texts, emails, visits, tears, hugs or payers ... in whatever manner you presented yourself, we felt loved and cared for.

You made our sorrow less stressful and our burden lessened.
