Roy C. Peters Jr.

Roy C. Peters Jr.,67, of Cloverdale, passed away late Wednesday night, Feb. 12, 2014 at Putnam County Hospital.

Born Nov. 1, 1946 in Hamburg, Iowa, he was the son of Roy Peters and Betty (Howes) Peters.

He married Sandra Howell, and she survives.

Survivors include his wife; five children, Jeffrey Peters and wife Mindy, Greencastle, James Peters, Iowa, Jerry Peters and wife Marcie, Cloverdale, David Borrego, Illinois, and Corina Borrego, Poland; a brother, Dale Farris, Missouri; 18 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

His parents and a brother, Jim Farris, preceded him.

Roy had worked for more than 20 years in the Putnamville Correctional Facility. He also had worked for CSC Security in Indianapolis and was a reserve deputy for the town of Cloverdale.

He was a Packers and Yankees fan.

Cremation is scheduled and a memorial service will be Wednesday (time TBA) in the United Methodist Church in Cloverdale.
