Seniors appreciate Mill Pond, Waters' efforts

To the Editor:

The Putnam County Senior Center people recently spent a most enjoyable evening at Mill Pond and The Waters.

The welcoming staff at each facility hosted a progressive dinner that included superb food, lots of laughter and excellent fellowship. We wish to thank Directors Mary Huffman of Mill Pond and Holly Wachtel of The Waters along with the many smiling faces we met along the way. It was truly a joyful evening.

All funds collected for this evening donated by Mill Pond and the Waters help to support the activities and expenses of the Senior Center.

Future plans for the groups include a trip to a winery near Bloomington, a baseball game at Indianapolis, the Indianapolis Zoo, the Beef and Boards dinner theater, and several other seasonal progressive dinners.

We thank the people of Mill Pond and The Waters for sharing their facilities and fine employees with us and also for the financial support afforded to the Senior Center which enables us to serve many of the needs of our community including low priced clothing and furniture, modified exercise programs, health screenings, and other various types of assistance when others in our community face life's challenges.
