GFD to host open house to celebrate Jeff Mace's retirement

The Greencastle Fire Department will be hosting an open house to help celebrate Assistant Chief Jeff Mace's upcoming retirement on Thursday, March 13 from 3:30-5 p.m. at Greencastle City Hall.

The public is invited to attend to congratulate Mace who will soon retire from the department after 20 years of service.

It is asked that attendees RSVP to the mayor's office by calling 848-1515 or emailing lhuber@cityofgreencastle.com.

  • The 2nd paragraph needs some attention to the grammar, ". . . to congratulate Mace who soon to retire . . .". Doesn't the writer check what he/she writes??? I know this a small matter but, it happens way too much & too often.
