Michael Jacob, 63, of Terre Haute, died Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at Union Hospital.
He was born Nov. 14, 1950 in Terre Haute to Lee D. Jacob and Joan Taylor Jacob.
Michael was part owner and operator of Morton Livestock Auction for more than 25 years.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Carol Ann Payne Jacob; daughter Tressia Puller and her husband Kenneth of Carmel; two grandsons, Dalton Puller and Preston Puller; four brothers, Joe Jacob and his wife Connie, Tom Jacob and his significant other Debbie, both of Terre Haute, Dave Jacob and his wife Becky of Brazil, and Pete Jacob and his wife Karen of Van Buren, Ohio; an aunt, Janet Archer and her husband Russell of New Jersey; several nieces and nephews; and several great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Charles Jacob.
Michael worked with livestock and was a 4-H livestock appraiser for many counties around the area.
He loved fishing and riding the golf cart with his grandsons.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 18 in Callahan and Hughes Funeral Home, 605 S. 25th St., Terre Haute, with David Rector officiating.
Burial will be in Highland Lawn Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Monday, March 17 in the funeral home.
