Fair queen call-outs scheduled for March 20, April 12

All young ladies interested in learning more about the 2014 Putnam County Fair Queen Contest are invited to a pair of upcoming call-out events.

The Fair Queen Call Out events are scheduled for 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 20 and again at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 12. Both will take place at the fairgrounds community building.

The competition is open to young ladies who will be aged 18 to 21 on June 1, 2015.

These events will be a chance to meet the new queen contest committee as well as learn about new workshops including how to pick the best color and styles to compliment your natural beauty, makeup application and appropriate hairstyling, interviewing technique, etiquette, modeling and confidence building.

There will also be a chance to learn about scholarship money, awards for queen, her court and contestants as well as review important dates and requirements.
