To the Editor:

The inaugural Quail Forever Banquet (formerly Quail Unlimited) was held Feb. 22, 2014 at the Dixie Chopper Business Center. It was a huge success and a very enjoyable evening.

The Dixie Chopper Business Center was responsible for catering this event and we thank them for their hard work and delicious fare. We also thank American Legion Post 58 for their support, and the donated art collection of the late Wayne Faatz.

With much appreciation we recognize all the advertisers listed in our Banquet Program. Their generous contributions help to fund programs and activities planned for the coming year.

Those listed were: Dever Distributing, Hayes, Murphy, Sharp, Brackney Insurance, Cloverdale Conservation Club, Antler King, Dave's Heating & Cooling, Bugle Valley Elk, Feld's Carpet One, HBG Insurance, Dow AgroSciences LLC., Ted Everett Farm Equipment LLC, Green Street Residential Maintenance, State Farm Insurance, Wayne's World Fireworks LLC., York Automotive Family, North Salem State Bank, Best Bolt Products Inc., Taylor Made Awards and Promotions, McDonald's, Cloverdale Agri-Center Inc., Humphreys' Outdoor Power, Bane-Welker Equipment, Dixie Chopper, Neal Tire and Automotive Service, Scobee Custom Butchering, West Central Veterinary Services, Dr. Daryl W. We also thank our "Friends of Quail" who donated funds and products for the raffles. These donations help to support our programs for youth and conservation efforts.

We appreciate the many volunteers for their work to set up and clean up. Invaluable to our success were the following: Progressive Printing for the banquet program, the Banner Graphic for its generous and timely press coverage, auctioneer Ken Torr, Troy Hicks (FFL registrar), the coordination efforts of Linda Huber with the Greencastle Street Dept. for hanging our banner designed and made by Taylor Graphics, and to our sponsor, Dixie Chopper.
