Barbara Charlene Pilkins

Barbara Charlene Pilkins, 64, of Reelsville, passed away on Friday, April 4, 2014 surrounded by family.

Barbara was born on April 15, 1949 in Monrovia to O. Lovain Plunkett and Catherine Felix Plunkett.

She was a graduate of Monrovia High School.

Barbara had been a Montessori teacher in Indianapolis and retired from the Indiana Department of Correction with 15 years of service, where she served as the release coordinator.

Surviving are her husband of 27 years, Harry C. Pilkins; three children, Yuri (Jill) Duncan, Apryl (Jason) Bradley and Rebecca Pilkins; three sisters, Pam (Tom) Beyerlein, Kathy (Rick) Wells, and Robin Valente; three brothers, Mike (Lou) Plunkett, John (Laura) Plunkett and Fred (Cheryl) Plunkett; and two beloved grandsons, Preston Bradley and Chase Bradley.

A memorial service will celebrate Barbara's life on Saturday, April 12 at 3 p.m. at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home, Greencastle, where the family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until time of services on Saturday.
