Keep Smiling

Cleaning the teeth of seven-year-old Emmalynn Maldonado, dental assistant Cindy Hennette tackles some preventive dentistry as part of the "Give Kids a Smile Day" program Friday at the Greencastle Pediatric Dentistry office of Dr. John Hennette. An estimated 20 children received free dental services ranging from dental screenings and cleanings to sealants and fillings as Dr. Hennette donated his staff and services to the cause. The Give Kids a Smile program was inaugurated in 2003 by the American Dental Association (ADA) to provide care and raise awareness of the importance of access to dental care for low-income children.
