Ticket sales ending soon for Saturday, May 3 DWTPCS
Anyone who hasn't reserved tickets for the sixth annual Dancing with the Putnam County Stars philanthropic event should do so soon, as ticket sales are quickly coming to a close.
A few tickets are still available, and they can be secured by calling the Putnam County Youth Development Commission Office at 653-9342 or contacting one of the 2014 Putnam County Stars.
The 2014 Putnam County Stars are Debbie Christy, Paul Jedele, Sam Fry, Marty Romer, Chelsey Meluch, Dr. Brian Black, Sharon Owens, Brice Hill, Rob York, Rachelle Custis, Alyssa Chew and Amy Clark.
For 2014, the event has moved C Bar C Expo Center in Cloverdale for the annual dress rehearsal and the live event.
The location is easy to locate, take U.S. 231 South to County Road 925 South (Stardust Road -- third stoplight) turn right, and continue approximately one mile. C Bar C Expo Center is located on the right side of the road.
The open dress rehearsal is scheduled for Thursday, May 1 at 6 p.m. Doors open at 5:30. The only admission price is a non-perishable food item to donate.
A special addition this year will be students from Tara Gardner's Dance Worskhop, who will be performing during intermission.
For the Saturday, May 3 DWTPCS event, doors will open at 5:30 p.m. beginning with social time, 50/50 raffle, cash bar and silent auction. Buffet dinner will follow from 6-7:15 p.m.
The traditional opening group number will be at 7:30 p.m., followed by the competition of the 12 Putnam County Stars and their talented instructors.
The evening should conclude around 10:30 p.m. with the crowning of the new 2014 Fundraiser Extraordinaire and Dancing with the PC Stars Champion.
