The South Putnam Livestock Judging team competed at the Area Contest on April 16 at the Clay County Fairgrounds. This particular team looks at classes of beef cattle, hogs, sheep and goats and is asked to judge them based on carcass quality, structure and breeding ability. South Putnam entered one team (above, from right) consisting of Riley Sutherlin, Amanda Modglin, Adie Clifford and Lane Hacker, which will be moving on to state contest in May. Also entered were two individuals, Hannah Wyttenbach and Ryan Cole, who placed in the top five out of 123 individuals. The team is coached by Wes Hacker and Daryn Buis.
