First Friday art show and sale

The public is invited to join local artists to browse unique local creations at The Apostrophe Art Space as part of the inaugural First Friday effort on Friday, May 2 and again on Saturday, May 3.

Times are 5-9 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. -2 p.m. Saturday.

Apostrophe is located at 25 W. Franklin St. on the north side of the square in Greencastle.

Artists whose work will be on sale during the event include Stu Fabe, Lance Myers, Jennifer Herrold, Mary Kertzman, Barbara South, Barbara Fields-Timm and Lynne Tweedie.

Items for all occasions will be available for visitors to browse bags, purses and sachets made from vintage velvets, laces and buttons; oil paintings, encaustic work and a variety of mixed media pieces; earrings, bracelets, and necklaces; functional and decorative ceramics; and photographs of Putnam County's local flora, fauna and sites of local interest.

Music will be provided by local guitarist Chris Wurster.

Apostrophe Art Space, owned by Amy and Tad Robinson, is available to rent for art exhibits, parties, classes and more.

    No, this is the renovated building at the corner of Franklin and Jackson streets where that ugly blue-green metal siding had been on the west side of the building in recent years.
