Charles E. Diel

Charles E. Diel, 86, passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at The Waters in Greencastle.

He was born Feb. 4, 1928 in Reelsville, the son of John Roy and Ruby (Moss) Diel.

Mr. Diel had been an operator for Standard, Sinclair and Arco oil companies.

He retired as a South Putnam school bus driver.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, 1952-54.

Mr. Diel was preceded in death by his parents, sister Florence (Diel) Rissler and Merlin Goss.

He is survived by three daughters, Crystal (Carl) Plessinger, Carla Diel and Callie Teal. Also surviving are Tracy (Goss) Mason, five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Indiana Funeral Care is handling the arrangements.

There will be no visitation. The family will conduct private graveside services at Croy Creek Cemetery.
