Mental Health America to hold annual meeting Tuesday

Mental Health America of Putnam County will hold its annual meeting on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at the Life Builder Church Community Center.

The program for the evening will begin with the awarding of the MHAPC Person of the Year Award and Educator of the Year Award.

The Mental Health America Person of the Year Award is presented to an individual in the community who has shown outstanding dedication to improving mental health and wellness of individuals and families who tirelessly promote the mission of Mental Health America of Putnam County.

The Educator of the Year Award recognizes an educator in Putnam County who has demonstrated outstanding dedication to the mental health and wellness of children, families and fellow educational professionals.

Following the presentation of the awards program, "Getting Ahead in a Just Getting by World," will be presented by Jenny Bradshaw and Judi Purvis, who have been involved with the "Bridges Out of Poverty" program.

The annual meeting and the program is open to the public and encourage members of the community are to come and meet our "Heroes in the Fight" against mental illness and enjoy a very informative education program. Refreshments will be served.
