Greencatle gets second at Mooresville

MOORESVILLE -- The Greencastle track team ended its rainy and windy week at Mooresville Thursday. The boys beat out the hosts but couldn't get a victory over Franklin. They placed second. The girls placed second as well losing by three points to the hosts.

"The meet was without rain but not the wind as well as temperatures going down throughout the meet," track coach Garry Anderson said. "The colder temps prevented most of the athletes from competing at their best. We got some good times from Bailey Lausee in both the 100 and 200 dashes. Katerina King continued to race hard and deliver her best 100 time of the year. It was very pleasing to see Brittany Welker continue her streak by winning both the 100 and 300 hurdles with season and personal best in both. There were several PR's despite the wind and cold."
