Laura Louise Pope

Laura Louise Pope, 40, of Bainbridge, passed away May 3, 2014.

Born Aug. 26, 1973 in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of Beverly Hinman-Graham Kersey and John Wakefield Swadner.

She married J. Douglas Pope on Oct. 4, 1991 in Mooresville.

Laura attended Avon High School and worked as a teacher's aide for North Putnam School Corporation.

She was a member of United Community Church of the Nazarene.

Survivors include her husband, J. D.; sons; J. Douglas Pope Jr. (Taylor) and Jordan Nelson Pope; daughter Whitney Louise Pope; parents John (Carol) Swadner and Beverly Kersey; brother John (Martha) Swadner and sister Penny (Butch) Orr.

A celebration of life will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 24 in the North Putnam High School gym.

Family and friends may gather one hour prior to service.
