Defenders of Liberty welcome J.D. Miniear as Monday speaker

Friday, June 6, 2014

J. D. Miniear of Indianapolis will speak to the Greencastle Defenders of Liberty's monthly meeting on Monday, June 9 at 6:30 p.m. at the Dixie Chopper Business Center at Putnam County Airport.

A pro-growth Reagan conservative, Miniear has recently served as president of the Indiana Republican Assembly and is currently a co-host of the "Conservative Commandos" radio show.

He is a member of the Indianapolis World War II Roundtable. In the May 2014 primary, Miniear was a candidate for the Republican House of Representative seat in the 7th District.

Miniear became a member of EMP (Electro-Magnetic Pulse) Coalition at the beginning of 2014, working with Frank Gaffney of the Center for Security Policy, Dr. Peter Pry, former CIA Director James Woolsey, Arizona Congressman Trent Franks, Newt Gingrich, Ambassador Hank Cooper and other leaders seeking to protect and firm up our electrical grid.

Some Congressional members are working to pass legislation that would implement new protective measures across the national power grid. Miniear will explain what could happen and what citizens can do to encourage government officials to take steps to save the power grid, the source of electricity throughout the country.

There will be a question-and-answer session after his presentation.

All interested citizens are invited to attend the meeting and all monthly meetings of the Greencastle Defenders of Liberty held on the second Monday of every month.
