Brazil Concert Band to present Father's Day music Sunday

BRAZIL -- The Brazil Concert Band, under the direction of Matthew S. Huber, will present "Father's Day at the Park" Sunday, June 15, beginning at 8 p.m. rain or shine.

New this season is "Bond ... James Bond" with "Goldfinger," "Nobody Does It Better," "Skyfall," "Live And Let Die" and "James Bond Theme' arranged by Stephen Bulla.

Also new to the BCB is "The Marriage Of Figaro" by Mozart, arranged by Earl Slocum along with Jane Sousa's favorite march, "The Bride Elect."

Father's Day traditions with the BCB are "The Golden Dragon" by Karl King and "Damn Yankees" in a setting by Paul Yoder.

For the fun of it, the BCB will play "A Salute to Spike Jones" with "Cocktails for Two," "Chloe" and "The Poet and Peasant" in Calvin Custer's arrangement.

Rounding out Dad's big day are "St. Louis Blues" by W.C. Handy, "Gate City" by A.F. Weldon, "George Washington Bicentennial" and "The Convention of the Cordials," both by Sousa.
