Wisdom-Hylton to be featured guest at Purdue Open Wednesday

Lindsay Wisdom-Hylton, former Purdue and WNBA star basketball player, will highlight the guests attending the 16th annual Purdue Open Golf Scramble, sponsored by the Purdue Club of Putnam County on Wednesday, June 25 at Windy Hill Country Club.

Wisdom-Hylton currently serves as assistant coach for the Purdue women's basketball team. Other Purdue guests attending will be Chad Johnson representing the Purdue Alumni Association and Emily Butler representing the John Purdue Club.

All proceeds from the annual golf outing are used to support the Purdue Club of Putnam County scholarship endowment at the Putnam County Community Foundation. Since inception in 1999, the Purdue Club has awarded 37 scholarships totaling $21,200 to Putnam County students attending Purdue University.

The golf outing will begin with registration at 11 a.m. followed by a free lunch at 11:30 a.m. Golf will begin with a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m.

Following the golf outing the Purdue Club will be hosting a dinner at Autumn Glen Retirement Center at 6 p.m. to honor this year's scholarship recipients. The public is invited to attend both the golf outing and the dinner.

Cost for golf including the free lunch is $50 per person. Dinner cost is $20 per person. Gold hole sponsorships are available for $100 and Black hole sponsorships are available for $50 from the Purdue Club.
