Thelma A. Marley Bailey Hubble

Thelma A. Marley Bailey Hubble, 89, of Roachdale, died Tuesday, July 1, 2014 in St Francis Hospital.

She was born Nov. 6, 1924 in Plainfield, the daughter of the late Jesse and Orpha A Marley.

Thelma was a caregiver her entire life, caring for her mother, Orpha, and daughter, Billie Jo Hubble.

She was born in Plainfield, and lived in Indianapolis, where she graduated from Washington High School, but she called Roachdale her home where she enjoyed the friendship of Evelyn Eberwein and others for more than 40 years.

Surviving are daughters, Donna (A. Craig) Bailey Sheets, Marilyn (Clint) Bailey Mills and Billie Jo Hubble; son Forrest (Terri) L. Bailey; stepdaughter, Shirley (Arthur) Hubble Brooks and Mary Hubble Boller; daughter-in-law, Margie Hubble, 23 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, 19 great-great-grandchildren, one great-great-great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by fathers of her children, Robert N. Bailey and Walter V. Hubble, stepchild Billy Hubble and brothers Donald G Marley and Robert Marley.

Family and friends will gather Saturday, July 5 from noon to 3 p.m. at Porter Funeral Home, North Salem. Service will follow at 3 p.m. with Pastor Ann Spahr officiating. Thelma will be laid to rest in the Roachdale Cemetery.
