Wilma Imogene Hunter

Wilma Imogene Hunter, 88, of Fillmore, passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2014.

Born Feb. 10, 1926 in Greencastle, she was the daughter of Jesse and Icy (Asher) Smith.

She married Donald Hunter, and he preceded her in death in 1976.

Wilma was a homemaker and had attended Putnamville Baptist Church, formerly Abundant Life Baptist Church.

She is survived by her children, Rick (Cindy) Hunter, Teresa Cox, Gary "Bud" (Janet) Hunter and Tonya (Terry) Gruenholz; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; parents; a daughter, Deborah Sue Kirkham; a sister, Jane Whitlock; and a brother, Leon Smith.

Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 9 at Forest Hill Cemetery in Greencastle with Pastor Jerry Campbell officiating. Interment will follow.

Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, Greencastle, has been entrusted with the services.

Memorial contributions may be made in memory to the American Cancer Society.
