Scorpion and BG still accepting Hometown Hero nominations

Wednesday, July 9, 2014

Scorpion Protective Coatings and the Banner Graphic are still accepting nominations for the Hometown Hero competition until Friday, July 11.

The contest will send one deserving Putnam County resident and up to three guests to the Sunday, July 7 Brickyard 400.

The contest is pretty open-ended, only asking that nominees be individuals who have served their neighborhood, community or country in some way that is worthy of note.

Nominations should be submitted to Banner Graphic Assistant Editor Jared Jernagan by 4 p.m. on Friday July 11. The letter should explain why the nominee is deserving of the honor.

The entries will then be forwarded to Scorpion for final selection. The Hometown Hero's story will be printed in the Banner Graphic.

The winner and as many as three guests will then spend raceday in the Scorpion corporate suite at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

If you or someone you know is deserving of the honor and would like a chance to attend the race, send the nomination to jjernagan@bannergraphic.com today.
