'Musical Vacation' on tap for BCB

The Brazil Concert Band, under the direction of Matthew S. Huber, presents "A Musical Vacation," on Sunday July 13th, 8 p.m. at Forest Park rain or shine.

The "Musical Vacation" takes concert goers to Paris, London, New York City, the islands of the Caribbean and Hawaii loaded with musical memories.

New to the BCB is "Songs Of Aloha" arranged by Ralph Ford with "Hawaiian Wedding Song", "Hawaiian War Chant" and "Aloha 'Oe".

From the Paris Opera House comes "Phantom Of The Opera" with all the music made famous by Andrew Lloyd Webber.

A trip to London's theater scene will include familiar songs in "Gilbert And Sullivan Souffle" arranged by Lang and Force.

The cruise to the Caribbean Sea could run into those crazy "Pirates Of The Caribbean" in Badelt's arrangement.

New York City touring will feature the music of George and Ira Gershwin in a medley entitled "Gershwin" arranged by Bennett.

Also to be heard are "Third Alarm" by Goldman, "The Melody Shop" by King, "Mancini Magic" by Brubaker, "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy" by Raye and Prince and finally "The Fairest Of The Fair" by Sousa.
