William "Bill" W. Stacy

William W. Stacy, 74, of Cloverdale, passed away July 12, 2014 at Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis.

He was born February 1, 1940 in Franklin, La. He was the son of the late Ralph and Vida (Sorrells) Stacy.

He married Kathryn Stacy on June 29, 1962, and she survives.

He served in the United States Navy as a young man and was a skilled tradesman for Allison Transmissions and Chrysler for many years.

In retirement he devoted his time and worked for the Cloverdale nursing home. He attended Cloverdale Christian Church and was an elder at his church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children Carol Summers and husband David of Martinsville, SuAnn Parks and husband Robert of Muncie and Bill Carmony and wife Nancy of Chattanooga; brothers Eugene Stacy and wife Anna of Indianapolis and Eddie Stacy and wife Teresa; and sister Jeanette Fischer of Black Diamond, Wash.

Bill had seven grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation for Mr. Stacy will be Tuesday July 15 from 4-8 p.m. at Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale. Funeral services will be Wednesday July 16 at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Cloverdale Cemetery.
