Indiana State Police Putnamville Post now on Twitter

Tuesday, July 15, 2014

PUTNAMVILLE -- Indiana State Police have announced that 13 State Police Districts now have a unique Twitter account to complement the existing statewide Twitter handle of @IndStatePolice.

The Twitter account for Putnam County is @ISPPutnamville.

The local State Police Twitter account will be used primarily by the ISP public information officer locally assigned at each post.

The public and local media are encouraged to follow as many of the local state police Twitter accounts as desired for information concerning crashes, road closings, current road conditions and other information of localized interest.

The Indiana State Police started using Twitter in July 2010 to help share information with the public.
