Auditions set at PCPH for 'Man Who Came to Dinner'

Director Ric Mc-Fadden will have two sessions of auditions for the Putnam County Playhouse production of the comedy "The Man Who Came to Dinner."

The play will be produced Sept. 11-13 and 17-20.

The first session will be Sunday, July 20, at 3 p.m. The second session will follow on Monday, July 21, at 7 p.m.

Both sessions will be at the rehearsal center of the Hazel Day Longden Theatre in Greencastle.

All roles are open. Those auditioning will be asked to read from the script.

Among the characters are Sheridan Whiteside, the "man" of the title who is forced to spend time at the home of a Midwestern couple when he breaks his leg on their doorstep; Maggie Cutler, his secretary; Lorraine Sheldon, a flamboyant actress; Mr. and Mrs. Stanley, the couple and their two children; Dr. Bradley, a local physician; and many other lively roles.
