Postcard collecting topic for PCPL program Saturday afternoon

The public is invited to the Putnam County Public Library on Saturday, July 26 at 1:30 p.m. for a talk on postcards by Harley Sheets.

Sheets will discuss the history, value and collectiblity of postcards. Following the presentation, he will offer free postcard appraisals for the public.

Sheets offers these programs to libraries and other organizations as a way of giving back and bringing attention to a hobby he enjoys immensely.

A sample of his collection is currently on display at the PCPL. Sheets estimates he has approximately 20,000 postcards in his collection.
