Since February, the group has given more than $30,000, which includes the 100+ Women Who Care Endowment Fund at the Putnam County Community Foundation.

The 100+ Women Who Care Putnam County is described as a group of women who share a common desire to give back to the community. The group is open to all women -- the more women who get involved, the greater the impact will be.

The group allows busy women to become involved by giving back to the local community in a fun way. Members meet four times each year for one hour.

At each meeting, members may submit the name of a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit public charity or a government entity to be included in a drawing. Three submissions are drawn. Each of those selected are given five minutes to present the organization and its services. Questions may be asked following the presentation. At the end of the presentations, members vote and a winner is announced. Each member then contributes $100 to the selected nonprofit.

The 100+ Women Who Care of Putnam County Steering Committee is comprised of Julie Thompson (chairman), Kelli Croan, Emily Knuth, Malinda Mann, Suzanne Masten, Beva Miller, Caitlyn Milliman, Elaine Peck, Susan Price and Ellie Ypma.
