NATHAN EUBANK has been named to the executive dean's list in the Indian University College of Arts and Sciences for the spring 2014 semester in recognition of outstanding academic achievement.

Eligibility for the executive dean's list is reserved for those students who complete at least 12 graded credit hours while earning at least a 3.7 GPA.


TERRIL L. VERPLAETSE, a 2004 graduate of Greencastle High School, graduated in May from Purdue University with a PhD in behavioral neuroscience.

Dr. Verplaetse has accepted a postdoctoral position at Yale University, where she will continue her research.

Terril is the daughter of Jerald and Jody Verplaetse of Greencastle.


Saint Mary's College named BETHANY ZEINER of Fillmore to the Dean's List for the spring 2014 semester. Bethany is the daughter of Todd and Lisa Zeiner of Fillmore.

To earn academic honors at Saint Mary's, a student must achieve a grade point average of at least 3.6 on a 4.0 scale, have at least 12 graded credit hours, no incompletes and no grades lower than a C.

Saint Mary's College, Notre Dame, Ind., is a four-year, Catholic, residential, women's liberal arts college offering five bachelor's degrees and more than 30 major areas of study, such as business, nursing, art, chemistry and social work.


Two local students have been named to the Trine University president's list for the spring 2014 semester.

ROBBIE URTON is a Reelsville junior majoring in math education.

JUSTIN FRANCHVILLE is a Coatesville sophomore majoring in Chemical Engineering.

To be named to the president's list, a student must have at least a 3.75 grade point average on a 4.0 scale and carry at least 15 credit hours.
