More work under way on U.S. 231 north of Greencastle

No sooner had the bridge deck replacement project on Waterworks Hill come to a close last week then new construction work sprang up Monday morning on U.S. 231 on Greencastle's north side. With Wabash Valley Asphalt crews milling the pavement in preparation for resurfacing, traffic was restricted to one lane much of the morning and afternoon. The work is all part of the same construction project that included the bridge repairs north of the fairgrounds, an INDOT spokesman said. The resurfacing is set to begin at Frazier Street on Greencastle's north side and continue north to just south of U.S. 36. Completion date for the entire U.S. 231 project is listed as Oct. 24.
