Sunday, August 24, 2014
BRAZIL -- The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) has announced it will close the State Road 59 (Exit 23) on-ramp to eastbound Interstate 70, beginning at 10 p.m. Monday, Aug. 25.
The closure will be in effect until 6 a.m. on Tuesday for resurfacing of the ramp.
The interstate project will resurface I-70 from SR 59 to nearly six miles east of that location and also overlay the bridge decks over SR 59.
The project was awarded to Rieth-Riley Construction, Indianapolis, for $9.3 million. Work is scheduled to be completed by the end of September.
INDOT reminds that the work schedule is subject to change in the event of inclement weather.
