Receiving a dozen roses Wednesday morning as part of the annual Friendship Day tradition in Greencastle, April Hudson (right), Crawfordsville, gets ready to take the flowers to the Manpower Office on South Jackson Street, just off the square, to share with others. Greater Greencastle Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Tammy Johnson (left) said approximately 4,000 roses were passed out from 10 locations in the 19th annual event Wednesday with the stipulation that those picking them up could keep one flower for themselves and give the remainder to others as a sign of friendship.
