Sylvia 'Beth' Gauthier

Sylvia "Beth" Gauthier, 62, of Hillsboro, passed away at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2014 in her home with her loving husband, Raymond, at her side.

Beth took care of nature and was at peace with animals in the outdoors. She respected all forms of life and God's Earth. She was especially good at fishing and loved the water. She did several jobs in her life, working hard as a welder for Great Dane, and at Cook's Lumber among other places. She was a member of IOUE Union 841 of operating engineers.

Born April 11, 1952 in Greencastle, she attended school at Reelsville and later in Greencastle. She married Raymond Gauthier June 29, 2008 at Clinton Falls with the spiritual leader of the Miami Indians officiating.

Survivors include; her husband, Ray Gauthier of Hillsboro, three sons, Aaron (Paula) Brown of Brazil, Michael (Summer) Brown of Seelyville, JJ (Annie ) Brown of Spencer; two daughters, Vanessa R. Gauthier of Arkansas, Nichole L. (Arturo) Rodriguez of El Paso, Texas, her father, Mitchell Barnett of Greencastle, two brothers, George Trueblood of Staunton and Douglas Trueblood of Greencastle; her grandchildren, Cody Brown, Adam Brown, Tiffany Brown, Jesse Kuchler, Aaron "Levi" Brown II, Tailor Brown, Sunny Brown, Carter Brown, Arturo (Tudy) Rodriguez III, Zayden Brown and Zyriah Brown, and one great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Marcie Lorraine Barnett.

Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Saturday at Burk-hart Funeral Home, Crawfordsville, with services beginning at 6 p.m. led by Pastor Zach Rainey. After the service she will be cremated and her ashes spread in a private service led by Steve Buchanan.
