County Jail

Five people were booked into the Putnam County Jail on Wednesday.

*At 1:02 a.m., Jawon Dantrell Jamison, 18, Memphis, Tenn., was arrested for operating while intoxicated.

At 2:25 a.m., Elizabeth Ann Sage, 25, was charged with battery.

At 8:50 a.m., Heather Danielle Burger, 24, Spencer, was charged with a probation violation and neglect of a dependent.

At 7 p.m., Kali Jane Rugenstein, 29, Indianapolis, was charged with resisting law enforcement, criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon, motor vehicle theft and disorderly conduct.

At 11 p.m., Patricia Finley-Perry, 26, Greencastle, was arrested for theft and a probation violation.

Sheriff's Dept.

*At 6:04 a.m. on Wednesday, Christina M. Payton, 34, Greencastle, was traveling southbound on Manhattan Road nearing County Road 550 South when a deer entered the roadway.

Payton advised Lt. Jon Chadd that she swerved to miss the animal and left the roadway on the west side, traveled down an embankment and struck a pole.

Damage was estimated $2,501-$5,000.
