Car seat clinic postponed until Sept. 29

Monday, September 15, 2014

A free clinic focusing on proper car safety seat installation scheduled for Monday, Sept. 15 has been postponed, the Greencastle Police Department has announced.

The annual Car Seat Check Safety Day clinic had been scheduled for today, at Putnam County Hospital.

Because of the rain and accompanying lightning and thunder, GPD postponed the event for safety purposes.

As rescheduled, certified child passenger safety technicians will be on hand from 5-8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 29 at PCH to check car seats for proper installation and advise parents and caregivers on how to choose the right car seats and install them properly.

The event is free, thanks to support from an Automotive Safety grant, as part of GPD's participation in Child Passenger Safety Week (Sept. 14-20).
