Alice Anna 'Ann' Monnett

Alice Anna "Ann" Monnett, 88, of Indianapolis, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2014.

Born April 11, 1926 in Fillmore, she was the daughter of Clifford and Hazel (Larimore) McMains.

She is survived by her husband, Gordon L. "Bud" Monnett, whom she married on Oct. 4, 1947.

Ann was a homemaker and a member of the Brownsburg Bridge Group and Order of Eastern Star.

Survivors include her husband, Bud Monnett; children Timothy G. Monnett of Timber, Ore., Tina L. (Robert) Coleman of Twinsburg, Ohio, and Michael L. (Diane) Monnett of Indianapolis; her sister, Martha (William G.) Reynolds of Indianapolis; a granddaughter, Megan (Mark) Hatala of Hinckley, Ohio; great-granddaughter, Keely Ann Hatala; nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Ivor and Myron McMains; and a sister, Weyburn Dudley.

The family will receive friends and relatives from noon until 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19 at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home, Greencastle.

Graveside funeral services will immediately follow the viewing at Forest Hill Cemetery.
