Featured Athlete of the Week: Christian Ritchey, Tennis Greencastle
Christian Ritchey was born Nov. 8 to Jason Ritchey and Robyn Trivett. He has got a big family with five siblings Brittany and Cody Girton, Alyssa Immel, Madisyn Ritchey and Chandler Trivett.
His favorite actor is Johnny Depp, and his favorite music artist is Jimmy Hendricks. Christian enjoys Mexican food, Sceince class and his favorite teacher is Math teacher Daniel Hankee.
Banner Graphic: What is different about being a senior as oppose to other years.
Christian Ritchey: There is more leadership. You've got to try and help the younger guys. There is also a little bit more pressure because you are the oldest out here.
BG: What are some of your individual goals and your team's goals?
CR: I don't have any individual goals fro the season besides you know, play well. For the team, we want to at least get to regionals but we really want to get to Semi-State.
BG: Who inspires you in your personal life to do well?
CR: My uncle. He looks just like me. He's funny. He's good at tennis and that's about it.
BG: Do you have any favorite professional athletes?
CR: I like Rapheal Nadal. He's awesome.
BG: What do you like most about tennis?
CR: I like that it's just you on the court. You can't really blame anybody else for messing you up. It's pretty strategic. I think that's my favorite part.
BG: What are your goals after highschool?
CR: I want to go to college to major in physics and minor in psychology.
BG: Why are psychology and physics of interest to you?
CR: I love physics and I like studying human behavior. I like to thin about things like that.
